BU STUDENTS PRESENT $10,000 TO MOM'S HOUSE
BU Students: Alexandria Hall, Katelyn Lavrich, Raimi Ade Salu and Kevin Hallagan became involved with Mom's House through a philanthropy course taught by Professor David Campbell in 2011. The course was geared toward educating students in the value of nonprofit-to-community success, and prompts an active personal engagement in local organizations. After Mom's House experienced serious damage in the flood last September, Campbell's students created a submission for "The Learning by Giving Foundation" video contest, in an effort to secure support for the facility's rebuilding efforts. Binghamton's video submission finished first in the contest garnering the $10,000 award for Mom's House.

MOM'S HOUSE HAS REOPENED AT TEMPORARY SITE
Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible for Mom's House to reopen after recent flooding.
Mom's House is temporarily located at the former Our Lady of Sorrows School, 801 Main Street, Vestal. Operating hours are the same: 7:30am - 4pm. Our phone number has changed to 757-9972. We expect to begin construction in the spring and return to our facility by mid-summer. Thank you again to everyone who has offered their help in our time of need. We are still in need of many items. See the new updated attached needs list. Please continue to check frequent updates on this site and on our Mom's House Facebook page.

Come join us for a round of golf at our 5th Annual Johnny Hart Memorial Golf Tournament, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at The Links at Hiawatha Landing. Cost is $100 per person. PURCHASE CONCERT TICKETS TO SEE TRAIN
The popular group Train is the featured band at this year's Dick's Sporting Goods Open on Friday, August 17, 2012. If you are interested in attending the concert, you can help Mom's House of Johnson City by purchasing your tickets through www.wendyswalkforkids.com and clicking "Mom's House" at check out. $5 of each ticket sold goes directly to support Mom's House or other non-profit you indicate. Mom's House has been chosen as one of the 2013 proceed recipients for the Wendy's Walk For Kids.
Join with Mom's House as we support this year's Wendy's Walk fundraisers which benefits: Catholic Charities of Br. Co., Make A Wish of Central NY, Br. Co. YMCA, and Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption!
Mom's House will be supporting the many events and fundraiser for this year's 2012 Wendy's Walk For Kids. Upcoming events: April 25 - Wendy's Night from 4:30pm-7:30pm (includes dining in and drive through) and May 19 - Sam's Club fundraiser with Marily's Catering from 11am-2pm.
