Bethany joined Mom’s House in December 2023, bringing 15+ years of nonprofit management experience. Bethany has devoted her career to assisting underserved and at risk populations. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Bethany looks forward to assisting the families and communities we serve and growing the programs and services offered.

Rebecca joined Mom’s House in October 2024 with 15+ years’ experience working in childcare and with families. She has previously been a preschool teacher, the Director of a OCFS regulated Youth and Family Services program and has been a Family Resource Specialist. She has a degree in Liberal Arts and is certified in Trauma Informed Care. Rebecca is a mother of two teen boys and works to empower families by offering a variety of Creative Art groups in the community. She looks forward to supporting and getting to know all the children, families and is excited to be a part of the Mom’s House team.

Haley joined Mom’s House in September 2026 after graduating from the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media. She is excited to get to know the Mom’s House families, supporters, and community while helping to raise awareness of the organization and its mission.

Diane Avery
Receptionist

As a Founding Mom’s House Board Member, Diane has been involved with Mom’s House since 1987. In her position, Diane works closely with the staff, clients, their children and the Mom’s House volunteers. She is usually the first point of contact for all visitor of Mom’s House.

Lynne Walck
Toddler Teacher

Lynne has been a Toddler Teacher at Mom’s House since 2000. She attended Dana College and SUNY Broome Community College and has received an Infant Toddler Credential. Lynne works closely with each child, enhancing their various developmental stages. As a mother of 3, Lynne has worked with children for many years at church as 6th grade Sunday School teacher, 7th grade confirmation teacher, vacation Bible teacher and directed Christmas plays. In addition, she also served as Sunday school and vacation Bible School coordinator.

Abby Ulma
Teacher Assistant

Abby has been working with children since she was a teenager and has always known that helping kids learn and grow is her true passion. She loves building connections with each child and creating a fun, caring environment where they can feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. Watching children reach new milestones and seeing their personalities shine is one of her favorite parts of the job. Outside of work, Abby loves spending quality time with her family, traveling up north with friends, and relaxing at the movies. Whether she's exploring new places or enjoying a cozy night in, Abby brings the same warmth and enthusiasm to everything she does.

Michelle Rezkalla
Pre School Teacher

Michelle has been teaching for over 10 years and has found a deep passion in her work, a passion that has been with her since childhood. She holds a CDA in preschool, which qualifies her to work at Mom’s House. Michelle has always had a love for children and art, and she feels a strong connection to helping others and making the world a better place. Her goal is to bring happiness to those around her, including the children she teaches. As a mother of a beautiful, talented, and loving 5-year-old, Michelle hopes to inspire her child to do good deeds, just as she strives to do. She has a deep love for her job, her coworkers, and everyone around her. Michelle hopes that her story will inspire others and looks forward to hearing their stories someday.

Annie Kotik
Food and Nutrition Coordinator

Annie is thrilled to join the Mom's House family. She brings a strong background in food production and quality care, having spent 7 years working at Frito-Lay. Annie is passionate about bringing her extensive food industry experience to Mom's House to support the team and the children. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors, going biking, and working on her scrapbooking projects. She also actively enjoys volunteering with her church but most of all, Annie cherishes spending quality time with her daughter and her family.

Kim Holland
Lead Infant Teacher

Kim joins Mom’s House with more than 15 years of experience operating an in-home daycare. She holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education and specializes in supporting children with more complex needs. Outside the classroom, Kim enjoys spending time on her family farm, caring for cows, chickens, and cats—lots of cats! She also loves reading, sewing, and quilting.
